Lääkärielehti has introduced a new delivery system, Neo by Anygraaf and it is intended for the design, production and publication of content using its new, browser-based user interface eNeo.
The goal of switching to eNeo is to streamline the magazine's workflow while supporting the editorial work for multiple digital channels as well.
"The process of Lääkärilehti is very unique in the Finnish magazine field, because it is a special medical magazine, a science publication. However, it has been possible to implement this model with Neo's structures and existing components. The project is demanding, but educational at the same time. The browser-based use of eNeo supports the new operating model chosen by the magazine, where the web is ahead in all content production." stated Anygraaf's project manager Jyri Vanninen.
"Readers will see an even better Lääkärilehti in the future, both online and in print."
With the reform, Lääkärielehti is aiming for even more versatile ways to offer journalistic content to readers. With the change of the delivery system, the website and the printed magazine will also be updated.
" I believe that readers will see an even better Lääkärilehti both online and in print in the future." says Tuomas Keränen, Lääkärilehti's editorial manager.
The doctor's journal appears in print 26 times a year. The magazine has a print run of 31,500 copies. New content is published online daily. In addition, the magazine publishes, among other things, a newsletter that appears three times a week. The newsletter is published on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Lääkärielehti is a scientific publication intended for doctors and medical students and a member magazine of the Lääkäriliito. More than 90 percent of doctors living in Finland belong to the association. The magazine supports the doctor's professional expertise and collegiality. The content focuses on factual journalism and peer-reviewed scientific articles. In addition to doctors and medical students, the magazine's readers include the staff of pharmacies and companies operating in the healthcare sector, as well as other healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals. In addition, the magazine is ordered by healthcare administrations and libraries. Read also: Lännen Media, which switched to eNeo, changed the publishing method of its stories
