Suomen Suoramainonta (SSM) has started a project to improve all sales and distribution systems now operating in different parts of Finland. The project must be completed in the Spring of 2022.
"We are starting a demanding system reform to simultaneously replace a number of systems that are vital to business operations. The change affects almost all of our operations," says Suomen Suoramainonta's managing director Jari Mankonen. "Among the most important goals is to make it even easier and smoother for our customers to manage their interactions and to guarantee the possibility of further development for the systems we use."
Partners selected to the fulfill the project are Loikka Oy, Adfore Oy and Anygraaf Oy. Anygraaf's CDProfit system will serve not only as the production system for the distribution companies , but also the master system for distribution data. CDProfit is used for morning distribution of daily newspapers, letter distribution and also for distribution of direct mail The project is significant by Finnish standards. The distribution companies in the Suomen Suoramainonta chain annually employ over 10,000 distributors of newspapers and advertising, as well as nearly 200 other professionals in distribution and direct mail.
"The starting point for the planning of CDProfit is that the system's users can distribute any products to the consumer's doorstep. CDProfit is widely used in the morning distribution of newspapers, but also in letter distribution that these companies have started. Introducing direct advertising in this environment does not require such an extensive change, as the system has been used for this purpose before in Holland, among others," says project manager Jyri Vanninen at Anygraaf.
SSM's unaddressed direct mail reaches a total of approximately 4 million readers each week.
